We here at Space Coast Comixx proudly welcome Monster Ink to our pages. It is a great honor to be working with this great Tattoo Studio. They are a premier location in Brevard County, with master artist at work. They have a stable of professional artist who grace their hallow walls, and are always looking to please their customers. So please check them out and let them know that you saw us at SPACE COAST COMIXX!!!
This is a question I hear from a lot of people. What is Space Coast Comixx?
My reply normally is this, “Space Coast Comixx is a graphic arts magazine, which has both comic book stories and articles about creative artist, food artisans, and local stores that are trying to help out other people. We are a free resource of entertainment for the average reader in ourever growing market. We have advertising which does support the publishing of the magazine and our distribution locations grow daily.”
What’s funny I’ve had some people ask me why do I call it a magazine when it is clearly a comic book, and I’ve had others tell me that it isn’t a comic book. To me personally it’s both. It’s just like the cover of the Fantastic Four used to say, “The Worlds Greatest Comic Magazine.”
So regardless of what you call it, or think about the magazine I believe it’s great and it’s creating a great buzz in our county. The feed back has been tremendous and I thank everyone who has showered me with praises and I also thank the naysayers for giving me that desire to make the magazine only better with each passing issue.
So if you play a guitar, paint pretty pictures, create comic books or tag an alleyway with your artwork, we want to talk with you. Don’t let the name fool you, we love you and we are reaching for the stars.
Space Coast Comixx is creating entire worlds for you to enjoy, and speaking to the masses about our community. It’s about fun and unity.
People there is an entire creative world out there, and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what we have in store. In the following months we are going to start showcasing other creator owned stories so be on the look out for these guest creators.
We have been very fortunate to have run into so many great and creative people the last several months, and it’s an honor to host the first annual art contest being held over at GameChanger, which runs until late September.
So keep your eyes open, and wait to see where we pop up next.
In the next few days we have quite a few new locations where our magazine will be placed at next and lets just say I’m very excited about getting these locations!!
Space Coast Comixx goal is to become a large hub for the Graphic Arts and Entertainment zone of Brevard County. We are slowly pushing our boundaries to become an alternative magazine that appeals to everyone, weather they are in mainstream or counterculture, we are a fusion of both as we dabble in comic book artwork, talk about hot tattoo artist, local businesses that has that flare, and the everyday guy that dreams of becoming the next Rock Star. We are that voice, that artist that yearns to be heard.
I’m proud to have met so many that are excited for this comic magazine.
In the following months, we are going to have artwork and writings from the following creators such as Pete Hernandez III, Nino Mesarina, Charlie Apellaniz , Henry Martinez, Karl Eburne, and Chris Jensen Soto.
Furthermore, we are going to have articles about Rob Figueroa, from Hallow Point Tattoo, Vinyl Request Records, Steampunk leader Diana Seagerson and so much more.
This is an exciting time, and we are only growing more as our books are appearing on Florida Tech Campus, Hilton hotels, and many more awesome locations throughout the county.
This is just the beginning of the revolution; stay tuned for more information and keeps your eyes peeled as you never know when your favorite hotspot will become a new home for SPACE COAST COMIXX!!
LETS ROLL. SWEET!!
