✍️ SCCX Submission Guidelines
SCCX seeks to publish the most compelling work we can get our hands on — period. From expansive to minimalist, narrative to lyric, epiphany to subtle — if it moves us, we want it. We welcome both distinguished and emerging voices. Most importantly, thank you for giving us the opportunity to view your work. We appreciate it.
🔓 Rights & Originality
- All submissions must be unpublished.
- Simultaneous submissions are welcome , just let us know right away if your work is accepted elsewhere.
- Authors and artists keep all rights to their work.
💰 Payment
SCCX is committed to paying contributors. While we’re a small, independent publication, we believe creators deserve compensation:
- Print Edition: $5 per published page
- Digital-Only Edition: $2 per published page
Payments are made via PayPal only.
Our ability to increase these rates depends on community support — readers, submitters, and sponsors alike.
📬 Submission Categories
🎨 Comixx (Art & Comics)
- Open year-round.
- Accepting 1-page to full-length graphic stories and comics.
- Writers must supply their own artist. We do not pair artists and writers.
📖 Fiction
- Short stories and novel excerpts up to 8,000 words.
- Or send up to three flash fiction pieces (1,000 words max each) in one document.
📝 Poetry
- Send 1–3 poems, up to a total of 10 pages, in one document.
